This course is the second half of the first-year PhD microeconomics sequence. The topics include:
(1) moral hazard and the principal-agent theory; (2) monopoly screening and its applications; (3) adverse selection and competitive screening; (4) games of strategic communication; (5) market design and matching; (6) general equilibrium; and (7) general equilibrium under uncertainty.
